BLINK 182
Enema of the State

WARNING: This album is infectious, you will find yourself singing even if you only know a couple of the words. For a good time can always count on Blink 182. They just can’t help it they’re all about fun! If you’re expecting deep, meaningful lyrics, you’re in the wrong place. No political or religious reflections here. What Blink 182 do best is make fun of all the everyday things that guys do, think, or say (even if they won’t admit it). The new CD is no exception to the rules. The songs play out like you’re reading the collective minds of the young men of America. Songs like ‘the Party Song’ , ‘Going Away to College’ and ‘What’s my age Again?’ are punk that speaks to the fun-loving fraternity brother inside (Punk/frat that’s gotta be an oxymoron).

The new album is no one trick pony. this is probably their most diverse album to date. They mix up the song styles a bit, exploring with songs like ‘Wendy Clear’ which is a more straight forward rock song, and ‘Adam’s Song’ a slow, mellow song, that is believe it or not, a bit sad. You won’t be disappointed; they still do what Blink does best, play punk rock, they sling out well-executed punk cords, with rapid-fire lyrics and melodies. You’ll want to mosh just hearing it. Songs like ‘Dysentery Gary’ and ‘Anthem’ are totally Blink, ultra hyper punk all the way.
