Go on a drunken bender at the Jägermeister tour with

What happens when you take a little Jägermeister and add in (hed)pe? I'm not sure but I am willing to bet it is guaranteed to give you a hangover the next day. (hed)pe served up shots of 100% proof wild fun!

In an exhibition of excess the Jägermeister tour makes it to the City of Angels, it's all about the Rock lifestyle. Amidst some fairly decent bands (Breaking Benjamin, Systematic, and Stereomud) and the one-man sideshow act of the Lizardman ( who came on stage between bands) were Southern California local's (hed)pe who co-headlined with Salvia. This years crowd was brought to it's knees when they took the stage. They were a real hard act to follow.

Controlled chaos at it's best! (hed) has taken the next step of evolution from the sounds of their original thrashing p-funk/rap-rock style. They still kick a powerfully enormous sound that will leave you with a (hed) rush it just goes down a little smoother when you swallow. While the vicious attack of the dual guitars gets your attention in their heavy metallic assault, frontman Jahred's lyrical style cuts you like a knife sharpened on the cruelty of life. He still commands the stage like a powerful urban warrior fighting to free his soul and broaden the horizons of your mind. Although these days you might find him using his voice a little more and the songs flow with even more melody than some of the older tunes. The band is as tight as ever (this band came out the gate working the clubs like they were born on a stage). B. C. and Mawk (on drums and bass respectively) make up the one-two slam that is the core of this bands sound. They will leave you punch drunk. Wes' guitar work holds down the signature licks (hed)pe is known for, while the newest member Sonny Mayo (Amen/Snot) offers a new flavor to an already strong mix. Mayo gives them another edge that will steady them for the climb to the next level. DJ Product is like a madman on the brink of destruction, and still works magic on the tables while causing a commotion on the stage.

The played a killer set, the only real problem it they weren't on stage as long as most would have liked. Shows like this seldom offer even the headliners enough stage time. They played a lot of songs from the second CD Broke like; "Killing Time," "Waiting to Die," "Feel Good," and "I Got You." They also gave their hard-core fans some older tunes from the self-titled album "Firsty" and "Ken 2012". Off their latest release they played the current single and title track "Blackout." They also gave the audience a taste of the new sounds with the gritty slamming grind of "Suck it Up," and the catchy dirty groove of "Bury Me." When they did "Bartender" from Broke Jahred took it into a sweet version of Bob Marley's No Woman, No Cry." One intoxicating mix!

(hed)pe concluded the Jägermeister tour and is currently on the road with some headlining shows. They are also joining Godsmack for a couple of shows on their tour.
